They have acted together in more than ten movies. But audience born in late 80′s and 90′s could watch them together only in Television or second releases. The luck of watching the two legends in a new film in theaters still evades the current generation of audience.
Superstar Rajnikanth and Ulaganayagan Kamalhassan, the two veteran actors who emerged from the acting school of director K.Balachander had decided long back to stop acting together and they are holding on to the decision for decades now. However the talks of the possible reunion of these two stars have emerged every now and then but have never attained fruition.
Now the latest buzz is that Kamalhassan wishes to have his good friend and competitor Rajnikanth in a cameo role in the former’s upcoming film Uttama Villain. Kollywood insiders also say that the Universal actor who has written the script and co-producing the film reportedly budgeted at 42 crores has conveyed his wish through proper channels.
The source also surprises us by saying that the Superstar has given his nod to appear in his friend’s film adding that there is Video conferencing scene in the film and Rajni will appear in that scene.
Let’s wait for an official confirmation on the reunion of the titans before deciding anything.
Rajnikanth has made cameo appearances in many Tamil films in the early stages of his career. However he has been showing disinterest in accepting such offers in the past two decades. The star appeared as Chitti the Robot, the role he played in 2010 film Enthiran, in Shahrukh Khan's Bollywood sci-fi mega budget film RaOne.
