Despite all controversies that haunted Kamal Hassan’s magnum opus Vishwaroopam alongside the young damsel Pooja Kumar it released on February 7th, in screens all over Tamil Nadu. 75 days hence, its technical crew is overwhelmed ! as their project has surpassed its initial target of 150 crores by miles.
Although, official reports are yet to arrive insiders hint, the flick has grossed somewhere near to the 250 crore margin!!! Thanks to a super attendance at the domestic and overseas market, this flick completes an astonishing 75 days in Tamil Nadu screens on April 23rd!!!
Directed by Ulganayagan Kamal Hassan, featuring himself alongside Rahul Bose, Nasser and others, his company is more than happy, to see their efforts being recognized. In the first Quarter Results that were declared in the beginning of April, Vishwaroopam stood at the top followed by Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasai.
However, being commercially successful was not the only part, in fact this entertainer also bagged home two national awards, for Best Art Direction & Best Choreography, at the recently concluded 60th National Film Awards.
