Santhanam’s maiden production venture starring himself, Sethu and Power Star Srinivasan and VTV Ganesh, Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya (KLTA) is inspired by filmmaker-actor K Bhagyaraj’s yesteryear superhit film Indru Poi Naalai Vaa. It is purely a comedy film directed by Manikandan.
Expectations: With Karthi’s Pongal release Alex Pandian getting thumbs down from critics and audience, Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya is eagerly awaited by Tamil audience hoping that the film would be the perfect film to enjoy in during the festive time. Being the first production of Santhanam, the most sought after comedian in Tamil film industry, people are expecting nothing but a complete fun entertainer from the Handmade Films.
With the names of Srinivasan, VTV Ganesh in the cast, the audience are looking out for a fun-filled flick, which could tickle the funny bones. Has it lived up to their expectations? Read on for the review… Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya is about three men who try to woo a woman – like in the original story Indru Poi Naalai Vaa. But the treatment is different in the Santhanam’s film. The basic knot of both the films sound similar but the story and screenplay are completely different. The three careless friends – Santhanam, and Sethu love the same girl played by Vishakha Singh. Their tricks to impress her to win her heart is the crux of the story.
