Ajith is always handsome. Anu Vardhan has been taking additional care to make him look more handsome. Anu Vardhan who is a costume designer is the granddaughter of the famous yesteryear late N S Krishnan.
She is also the wife of the director Vishnuvardhan. Anu Vardhan was the costume designer for Ajith in Billa. She sings praises of Ajith whenever she opens her mouth.

About Ajith?
Very stylish person. He will look handsome in Western and Indian costumes. Whenever I give him his costumes, I use to ask him to wear it and see. He use to smilingly say, “It will be correct but in order to respect you I will wear and see.” He will wear it and ask whether it is okay.
Is Ajith an angry person?
I have never seen him get angry.
You are making him wear blazers in all his films?
I will give whatever the character requires. Will a foreign don wear dhoti and Kurta? In Billa, he will be wearing a white suit. How handsome he looked in that outfit. I also liked it very much.
Arya has a good physique. What kind of costume will you design for him?
Normally T shirts suit him. Long sleeves T shirts will be very superb for him. He has a good skin tone.
Nayanthara has a good height. She has a glamorous physique. Is it difficult to design costume for her?
We are there to give her the costumes that would suit her roles. Both Western and Indian outfits will suit her. So we will bring what the director tells us. After readying it we will first try it out and then give it to the artists. Nayanthara is a very good cooperative person.
I can mould Trisha in any manner. If she wears half sari, she will look like an Indian girl. Both Nayanthara and Trisha will get imbibed in their roles. We will design the costumes according to the director’s imagination.
Is it very difficult to design costumes for fantasy sequences?
It is very easy. It is very difficult to design for the characters.
Some of the fantasy sequences are shot in the cold snowy mountains. The heroes are given comfortable warm clothes while the heroine has to dance with sleeveless gowns. Why is that?
It is a good question. It is really difficult. Anyway ask this question to the directors.
You are designing very glamorous costumes for the heroines?
Glamour costumes are not worn without necessity. First I will see the background of that scene. I will design glamorous costumes, only if the story demands.
